A scrapbook is one way of showing your father how his presence has influenced your life. This scrapbook will be treasured more than an expesive gift because you have made this scrapbook with your father in mind and this will leave a long lasting impression unlike most gifts.

There are many themes that you can choose. Will the father’s day scrapbook theme capture your dad’s life from boyhood to the present time? ·Have a spread of photos of your dad whether alone, with the family or with other people. Select the best ones for your scrapbook. These would be the photos that highlight an important event in your dad’s life or those that convey your emotions about your father.

·Be sure to select maximum of 3 colors for your scrapbook page. You want to select colors that match the photos that you are using in the scrapbook page. Placing odd colors with photos can make the picture clash with the background and you want to keep your colors working together. If you know your father’s favorite colors then this can be used.

·Choose one photo that is to be the focal point of the scrapbook. This can be a solo shot of your father. It can be a studio shot. Try to find an outdoor photo of your father. These outdoor photos make great center pieces.

The main picture should be highlighted to stand out. You can mat the image by having a wider border or another color which will stand out from the rest.

·Add journaling to your scrapbook page. Place a comment or caption about what the photo is, where it was made, what happened, etc. This will make the scrapbook more interesting.

·Arrange the elements of the scrapbook in a way that does not crowd the page.  Many people will create scrapbook pages that are full of pictures and make the page look more like a photo album.  This is not the look that you want if you are trying to create a scrapbook.. A page that is covered in many pictures may crowed the page leaving the viewer overwhelmed.

·Place embellishments on your page – stickers, die cuts, rubber stamps and punches. You do want to be careful not to overpower the images on the page.

If you are close to other family members, you may consider asking them to supply you with some pictures as well as some quotes that they would like to include in your dad’s scrapbook. Involve all the special people in your father’s life to make the scrapbook have more meaning.

The best way to store your valuable wine collection so it ages properly is to build a home wine cellar. Your cellar should be designed to correctly store wine as it ages, ensuring that the wine develops complexity and depth and does not spoil.

Building a home wine cellar from scratch may seem like a daunting process, but the first step that proverbially applies to climbing mountains applies to wine cellars, too. It usually starts with collecting the first bottle and eventually finding that your collection has grown to a point that you cannot store it at home without a cellar.

A well-built home wine cellar can cost you many thousands of dollars but so can a large refrigerated wine cabinet so that often a custom built wine cellar at home can be the most economical and cost effective way of storing your wine collection.

Before you start building your home wine cellar consider the following.

Cellar temperature should be a chief consideration followed by the amount of natural light. Make sure the room is well insulated – extruded polystyrene insulation is ideal. If you live in a mild climate you may be able to create a passive cellar that doesn’t require any cooling system.

A wine cellar will usually have thick walls. Two-by-six construction allows for better insulation, allowing the cellar to remain at a constant temperature. In an active wine cellar, major factors such as temperature and humidity are maintained by a cooling system.

Temperature swings can quickly destroy your wine collection. Small temperature fluctuations from summer to winter will not damage the wine but those same fluctuations on a daily or weekly basis will cause your wine to age prematurely. Temperature should stay between 45 and 60 degrees F, and exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided. It is possible to build a wine closet or a wine cupboard at home that will have the required humidity level of between 50% and 80% that is ideal for all types of wines.

When storing wine all vibration should be avoided; it agitates the bottles and speeds up the chemical reactions taking place inside the bottle – and not in a desirable way.

Vibration is a major issue during the transportation and is the reason most shippers recommend allowing your wine to rest after extended travel. This is important, too, when you buy wine at a cellar door or even from your local wine retailer. Never take it home and immediately pull the cork out without allowing it to return to a rested state. In fact, all wine should be immediately placed in your cellar.

Note that it is not just your wine which is valuable; the cellar itself will improve the value of your home. So the larger and better-constructed your cellar, the more the value of your house will increase.

A wine cellar generally requires a lower temperature than the surrounding living areas and therefore must be treated differently in relation to those areas. Do not attempt to cool a wine cellar by installing a domestic air conditioning unit if your wine cellar requires cooling. Domestic air conditioning removes the humidity from the air and will quickly destroy your wine collection by drying out the corks. Fall is my favorite time of year. No not because of the cooler weather and the falling leaves, but because it is now football season.

The NFL season is awesome because after two weeks of virtually nothing on television as far as sports, suddenly you are engulfed with plenty of games every Saturday and Sunday. Sure I can take in a baseball game in person, but sitting and watching it on TV puts a man to sleep. At least the 2008 Olympics provided some sports activity this year.

I love both the college and the pro games for different reasons. The passion involved in the college game is like nothing else. Every Saturday, hundreds of thousands of rabid supporters fill up local stadiums in an effort to push the home team to victory. With the expansion of network television contracts, there are usually good matchups on every Thursday and Saturday night as well. While I don’t really like the BCS system that is in place in the college ranks, one benefit to the setup is that every regular season matchup really matters. A college team could get away with one loss during the year, but if they want a shot at the BCS championship, then they can’t afford to lose twice.

The National Football League is a different animal, but just as good in my opinion. Again the passion is amazing, especially in the great NFL cities like Dallas, Denver, Chicago, and Miami. What makes the NFL really fun for many fans is the expansion of fantasy football. Sure some people go a little crazy, in that they use every waking moment evaluating their players and proposing ridiculous trades to the other fantasy players in the league. Just get started with the right set of people, then fantasy football makes all of the games much more interesting.

This year I had to evaluate my television service, as Cox continued to let me down me as far at their service and pricing. Luckily for me, I had multiple options, as AT&T’s new uverse service is now in my area, as well as satellite television. After looking into my options, I discovered there are great satellite television deals going on currently. So then it became the old Direct TV vs DISH Network debate Being the football fan that I am, I just couldn’t pass up the DirecTV Sunday Ticket package that they offer. In addition, they offer great college football packages, including the ESPN Game Plan. Overall, there is just more for your money when comparing DirecTV to Comcast. Plus, you just can’t beat the Direct TV DVR.

My spouse may not like that selection, but at least she will know where I will be, right in front of the television this fall!

If you are fishing on a clear lake during the late spring, summer or early fall seasonal period and your luck has been pretty dismal during the day, then try fishing for bass at night. Sometimes the big bass will head for cover during the day especially if the lake you are fishing on has a lot of fishing pressure during the day. You probably did not know there is a good possiblility that your local lake becomes very active at night! Those big fish that were hanging tight in cover most likely will come out at night and feed aggressively in 3 to 10 feet of water. The darkness gives them cover and they don’t have to work as hard when they attack their prey. Also there are very few night fishing bass anglers, so the fishing pressure will be limited.

 The word night fishing is exciting and very few fisherman take advantage of it. The night brings solitude and any night sounds are amplified over the water. This is the time when a very sensitive rod tip and a good pair of hands will come in handy. Normal sounds of boat traffic, swimmers, skiers, is replaced by the night sounds of birds like hooting owls and of course the sound of feeding fish. If you fish for bass on a clear lake chances are you will catch more and larger bass, if you go night fishing. The best time to start thinking about night fishing for bass is when the water temperature rises into the upper 50 degree mark, but your best night fishing for bass catch will be when the water temperature rises well above 60 degrees.

 Any lake that contains a health population of crawfish or spring lizards, (salamanders) is usually a good for catching bass at night. Water dogs (larva salamanders will work well also. If you know where there is any rocky gravelly areas on your lake this is a good spot to set up at night because the bass will feed aggressively in these areas because crawfish tend to move around more at night. To attract crayfish and other crustations and bait fish close to your boat use a submerged fishing light source. The light will also attract zooplankton and other bait fish, which get the bass feeding even more aggressively. Underwater fishing lights are sometimes called submerged fishing lights if you go to purchase one.

Some yoga practitioners prefer to exercise at night to help relieve the stress from a busy day. It is perfectly fine to do both. You just have to find the time that best suits you for yoga.

The advances In photography have skyrocketed in the last few years.  The advantage here is you can pick and choose what prints you want from your media of choice.  My wife and I just slip in our camera memory card and choose the pictures you want. But we also have used a CD you can insert into the same machine. This type of camera printer will then allow you to choose the photos you want, the sizes you want, and how many you would like to print. This type of camera printer is my favorite choice because my wife and I don’t print pictures that often, and it gives you the same option of choosing the size you want, and how many prints you would like. Some are instant, and the less expensive take longer. Either way though, these types of printers are here to stay.
